Overall a reasonable weekend for me as it was my second biggest points haul of the season. We had a very enjoyable day on Friday practice as it was my first full wet practice and we showed very good pace.
On Saturday we qualified 4th and I got my third podium of the season (P3). On Sunday we had our sights set a little higher but unfortunately didn’t quite have the pace of the leaders resulting in two hard fought 5ths.
Another weekend and another great learning experience that will definitely help me going into round five at Hampton Downs. We will have limited testing their as it is a TRS round and I haven’t been on the track before so should be interesting. After four rounds I am holding 5th in the championship and I am confident we have more speed in us and a podium result for the year is very possible Good luck to all the Kiwis racing in Christchurch in TRS this weekend.
A massive thanks to all my sponsors who are the reason I’m racing so please support them as they support me, Speedsport scholarship , Sabre Motorsport, Grant McDonald, Johnathan my engineer, Paul Manual for his advice, Chicane Racewear , Arai helmets , Quality Tyres , Sierra Motor Group , 0800 Race Brakes , Cyrus International Cargo ,Alistair at Formula Fit and Counties Fitness for keeping me on the track.
